God is at work even when He ask us to simply be still

This beautiful climbing rose was planted in front of my house. One day I decided it needed to move, but I wasn’t sure where to replant it. So, I put it in a five-gallon bucket and added some water.
For two years my rose lived in that bucket and the water froze into a block of ice during the winter. Can you believe it survived!?!
FINALLY, I made the decision to plant it in my vegetable garden to add a splash of color.
Sometimes life can feel like we are just sitting in a bucket - still, unappreciated, not of any value….maybe frozen.
But God cares deeply for His creation and is at work even when He ask us to simply be still.
To wait.
“For from the days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.” Isaiah 64:4
